Relationship Breakdown
From our experience we know that ‘life happens’ to all people, in many different ways and that personal life events, can cause a negative impact upon a person’s mental health and feeling of wellbeing.
You may feel that your mental health is impacted from a loss, from trauma, or a life experience suffered in your past or more recently.
Our pioneering work in conflict solution skills & safer life management skills, come from highly respected therapeutic programmes, designed to increase a person’s sense of personal safety, and increase confidence, self-esteem, and personal independence.
You may have experienced a relationship breakdown or be going through a life change, such as personal illness, a loved one’s illness, your children leaving home or a change in your career or work responsibilities, causing you anxiety.
Offering FREE Specialist Counselling Therapy & Support for parent/carers and siblings of children affected by disability experiencing relationship breakdown – The Lottery funded project will provide a holistic community service that understands the needs of the ‘whole family’ – from receiving individual therapy will move into support groups, relevant to the complex needs of families that will include parent groups – mums groups – fathers groups – sibling groups and friendship groups for the child young person with SEND by forming links to other local charities that share our mission for greater accessibility/inclusivity, creating a strong community.
Our Counsellors
All INSIGHT CCSS staff Counsellors are highly trained, qualified at/to Degree level and experienced to work with a wide range of issues:
Insight Counsellors come from a variety of counselling modalities, such as Person Centred, CBT, Existential & Humanistic, enabling us to carefully match the correct Counsellor to the unique and individual needs of our service users.
Volunteer Counsellors
We work closely with Colleges and Universities offering a minimum of 6 x counselling placements each year, to those in their final Degree level year. Our interview process chooses those who show the necessary qualities that we require of an INSIGHT CCSS Counsellor (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy Qualities).
We provide all students/volunteers with an intensive internal training, prior to our acceptance. Service users are asked if they will work with a trainee counsellor. Our volunteer counsellors are closely supported and provided with a mentor. ( A highly qualified and experienced INSIGHT staff counsellor)
